The Cobaita is a recipe of Arab origin that was imported in Sicily during the Arab domination. Our version is authentic of the Sicilian hinterlands, which combines dried fruit, honey and aroma.
Our Cobaita – Dried Fruit Crunchy Snack is developed in Piazza Armerina from a local artisan from a 400 years old recipe owned by him
The recipe is still secret and it follows well-defined phases, where dried fruit must be combined in order with the Millefiori honey and sugar.
The almonds used are our own from Minnula line. Pistachio comes from Bronte, while Hazelnuts from Piedmont.
This product is a tribute to the famous “Villa Romana del Casale”, which is an ancient Roman manor full of beautiful mosaics of the Roman and Sicilian tradition. This ancient manor was settled in the province of Enna, in Piazza Armerina, which is the town where our precious Cobaita is made.
The low sugar income is vital to take advantage to the dried fruit nutrition proprieties and the digestive proprieties of the honey as well. This crunch snack is suited for fitness addicted and for gourmet hunters as well.> Leggi di più <
